Privacy & Confidentiality Policy

Effective date: May 12, 2026

Snaplytics (the "App") is an iOS application available globally and provided in English (US) only. This Policy explains how photo metadata is handled when you use the App.

1. Core Privacy Principle: On-Device Processing Only

The App is designed so that photo analysis occurs locally on your device. The App reads EXIF metadata (including, when present, geolocation coordinates) from photos you choose to allow through iOS permissions and displays related location information inside the App.

2. App Store Privacy Summary (Apple Privacy Labels)

Based on the current App architecture described in this Policy, Snaplytics is intended to operate with the following privacy posture for App Store transparency disclosures:

If the App functionality changes (for example, cloud sync, analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or third-party SDKs), privacy labels and this Policy will be updated before or at release.

3. Data We Receive and Store

We do not collect, sell, rent, broker, or monetize personal data from App usage. We do not operate external analytics, advertising SDK data collection, or cloud profiling for this App.

Any data you see in the App (including EXIF fields and mapped locations) is processed on-device and remains under your control, subject to your iOS settings and device behavior.

4. Permissions and Apple Platform Services

The App requests access to your Photos library only to perform requested EXIF reading and location display features. You can grant, limit, or revoke access at any time in iOS settings.

Apple and your device may process data according to their own terms and privacy notices. We do not control Apple's system-level processing, backups, syncing, or network behavior outside the App.

5. International Availability and Language

The App is available worldwide. The App, this Policy, and support communications are provided in English (US). By using the App, you accept that English (US) is the controlling language version.

6. User Responsibility and Sensitive Data

EXIF metadata can include sensitive information (for example: precise geolocation, timestamps, device details). You are solely responsible for:

7. No External Transfer by Design

The App does not intentionally send your photos, EXIF metadata, or derived location data to external servers controlled by us. If you use operating system features or third-party apps to export or share data, that transfer occurs outside our control and under those third parties' terms.

8. Security Notice

We apply reasonable technical measures in the App design to minimize data exposure. However, no software or device can guarantee absolute security. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you accept this inherent risk when using digital services.

9. Legal Basis and Regional Rights

Where privacy laws apply (including, where relevant, GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and PIPEDA), our position is that the App is engineered to avoid personal data collection by us. Because we generally do not identify users or maintain centralized personal records, we may be unable to authenticate, match, or fulfill rights requests that require data we do not possess.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim, to the maximum extent permitted, liability for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including claims related to metadata exposure, geolocation visibility, user configuration choices, third-party actions, or unauthorized access to your device.

11. Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Snaplytics and its operators from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the App, your violation of law, or your infringement of third-party rights.

12. Children

The App is not directed to children under the age threshold defined by applicable local law. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child used the App contrary to local requirements, contact us and remove app access from the device.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy at any time. The latest version posted in the App or on the related website governs from its effective date. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
